You are sprint specialist, don't You think the Lanos gearbox is slow?

No. It's perfect for 402m... It's a bit slow for highway and top speed... But 225km/h on 7000rpm in 5th gear is fair enough...

Well, as I sad all Lanos don't have same gear ratios...
Lanos sport gearbox is really close ratio gearbox. All the gears comes one after other with little difference. So when I change gears in red line, rpm drops only 1200rpm... And it would be great to have 6th gear for high way, just for economic purpose...

For current engine power I fill up 4th gear to redline on 400m (1/4 mile). And that is perfect... You can hear it in sprint movies... This gearbox would become slow if I get to 300HP mark and if I have to change to 5th gear in 1/4 mile sprint...

Now I can drive in 5th gear 50km/h at 2000rpm, and little push, I get to 225km/h in the same gear at 7000rpm...

For city, this gearbox is perfect... I change gears like on motorcycle (from 2000 to 2500rpm) and get to 5th at 80km/h in no time...

Now I see that you have 1.6 16V Lanos...

Do you have gears rated like this?

At 6500rpm:
1. 60km/h
2. 95km/h
3. 135km/h
4. 170km/h
5. 210km/h

The Lanos Sport is different in more things except design I see. I have never been checking the max. speed on each gear. Neverthteless, I can write gear ratio of my gearbox.

Here is the car, slightly modified 2001 Daewoo Lanos Sport. Modifications:

1. OZ Superleggera 16'' rims
2. Custom Headlight projectors with xenon
3. Eibach pro springs
4. Custom mash
5. Removed all badges, rear window washer, tinted lights, antenna, etc
6. Custom SMS alarm system


But still going N/A, and still got works to do:

1. custom exhaust manifold
2. custom inlet manifold
3. cams
4. stand alone after market ECU

I have no words!!
Absolutely most beautiful of all 3 door lanos what I ever seen before

It's on the road again. Still, I have to change the hood, and side mirror, but I will use this and make the car even better. It would be totally clean style with bad boy look hood...
