Hey people!

My name is thecruelangel and I own a Daewoo Espero 1.8 CD from 1996.
I was googling around searching for information in Dutch or English, but I was unable to find anything useful except for this large forum.

I have a question. I want to place 6"x9" speakers instead of the standard 20 rms daewoo speakers currently installed. However, i need to make the hole bigger. Knowing that this is a large steel plate, is it safe for the safety of the car to just start sawing in there.

I really hope somebody can help.

I think, that it´s safe for the car to do it, but there´s a one problem. Under the standard repro are two bars which is used to open the case and when you install a bigger I think, that you must to modify them, because speaker will blokage this mechanism.

I think, that it´s safe for the car to do it, but there´s a one problem. Under the standard repro are two bars which is used to open the case and when you install a bigger I think, that you must to modify them, because speaker will blokage this mechanism.

Preklad=Translation-> Myslím si že je to pre auto bezpečné, ale je tam jeden problém.Pod štandardnými repro sú dve tyče, ktoré sa používajú na otvorenie kufra a myslím si že ak sa tam nainštalujú väčšie asi budem musieť upraviť tie tyče, pretože repraky budu blokovať tento mechanizmus.

No veď je to tak, práveže som tiež nad tým rozmýšlal, že vymením tie repra, ale potom som prišiel na tú tyč, takže som mu to radšej napísal. Ale to určite zbadal, že to tam je.
