At the beginning I wish to sorry that I can't speak Czech but I understand, so If you understand what I wrote you can answer in Czech

I wish to introduce myself on this forum.

My name is Piotr (Petr) and I'm from Warsaw in Poland, but now I live in Prague, and I will live there for the next few years I think

I write often posts on forum http://autokacik.pl but I think it is good Idea to begin write at this forum, because users are closer

I have polish version of Daewoo Lanos SX. There was a 1.6 16V engine, but now there is 2 litres Opel Astra GSI C20XE engine



I will try to read the rest of post on this forum, but if somebody can tell (write) me where do you have some spots in Prague I will be very happy

I'm working in Prague

So who is a Richiprofi ? Is he going to install similar engine in his car ?

I think he want to change 1,5l 8v to 2l /16v from Opel But he want to change all gear box and some parts.... richi expalain it

I've just replaced an engine. Because of I had a 1.6 16V I didn't need to replace gearbox, because this is the same gearbox as a geraBox F16 in Opel, and the only diffrenent beetwen the F16 and F20 Opel gearbox is main ratio. And F16 gearbox is enaught do engine up to 214Nm
The C20XE engine has 196Nm

Of course I can write, but I think I don't know necessary words in english

Brakes are original Lanos 1.6, which are quite similar to those from Astra GSI (I mean about those from front wheels).

GearBox are original too.

Chassis the same

I whish to change shock absorbers, maybe some Bilstein B4, but I will change this when original will be death

There was a little problem to connect speedmeter, but now everythink is ok in this case

I'm not a specialist, so I think I can't tell much more about this.
I've only paid for service and I bought an engine. Thats it

to Kravitz: Thank you for your "basic" information. Are you going to replace rear brakes by disc brakes? And what about optic tuning on your "Super Lanos"? Could you send some photos here?

to Blue: Mám úplně normální plynové tlumiče KYB. Legrace je, že jsou stejné, jako na Kadeta.
